Innovation, collaboration, solving wicked problems – here is a glimpse of what happened during the Design Thinking training!
On April 27th, in collaboration with the Albanian Association of Banks, we hosted the Design Thinking training with Dr. Chris Archer-Brown. With head-level participants from Union Bank, Tirana Bank, and OTP Albania, we had a full day to discuss a different approach to problem-solving.

Design Thinking with Dr. Chris Archer-Brown

What did the Design Thinking training consist of?

Design thinking is still a new concept but has helped individuals and businesses define their problems and come up with creative ways to solve them. This is the key that drives innovation in all industries.

This time, the training was completely focused on the banking industry. It started out by explaining some key principles and concepts of Design Thinking according to different international research and practices. Then, it continued by engaging participants by making them think about one of the main problems that they face in their day-to-day jobs. Depending on the bank that they came from, each had a different issue that they were trying to solve particularly. Step by step they started to build their cases according to the instructions by Dr. Chris Archer-Brown. He made sure to check and discuss the progress of each group, making this experience even more personalized and interactive.

It was exciting to see how each and every one of the participants were very open to this new approach and showed great interest to try and implement it. For most of them, it was the first time they followed training on this topic and they were not very familiar with the concept before. As a result, the whole experience was very valuable and gave them a new perspective.

What is happening next?

After the successful completion of the Design Thinking training, and the positive feedback from all the participants, we are glad to announce that Dr. Chris Archer-Brown will be returning for more training sessions in the future. Stay tuned for our next updates!
